how do i fix drip in bathub faucet it is the type that switches from shower to bath it has a long snout ?How do i fix a bathtub leak with a fuacet that switches from shower to bath by pulling a handle that comes up?
The problem is in one of the faucet valves. Hot or cold side is leaking. To repair you need to turn off the water , pull the handles and vale stems. Then replace the valve seats and washers. Good luck and God Bless. BTW- you may need a special wrench to pull out the valve seats. You can get it at any plumbing supply house. Also replace both at the same time cuz if 1 is gone the other isn't far behind.
