Not too much, now that I know what works. I'm assuming you're talking about cleaning supplies. Use ';The Works'; and it's all you'll ever need! They make shower and tub spray, and toilet cleaner and the stuff is amazing!
If you're talking about soaps and shampoos, I have considerably more. I like to change up my shampoos and conditioners because I think it's better for hair. I change up soaps for different scents. I have different razors for different parts of the body. So, yeah.... you'll see more sitting out in my bathtub, but not too many cleaning supplies under the sink!How much bath/shower stuff do u own?

Did you break the lever off or did it feel like it may have come loose? if it feels loose take the screws out of the cover plate and take a look,you may be able to reconnect it,if it was broke off you may be able to replace it yourself.if it was my tub i would take a look at the very least to try and fix it myself,you can find a plumbing supply co in the phone book call and ask for a little help,i would do this before calling a plumber, what can it hurt?Problem with shower/bath. Need quick fix!?

Yea your going to need to call a plumber and have them replace that whole piece.
Unscrew it counterclockwise and take the whole fawcet off. go to hardware or home store and ask the old guy to fix it if not ask for a replacement, you have to put pipe putty on the threads before you screw it back on, if you need to use a pipewrench put a heavy rag on it first not to scratch it.
Better yet call local vo tech and ask plumbing instructor to have students help you, give them a couple dollars each, if you make it worse a plumber will love you
Best bet is ask a plumber or 2 for a written estimate and make sure an estimate is free

em when i was like little i used to bath with my brother and sister but im talking like when i was 5 or some thing but em some times if im running a bath and my mum wants one too she would say save the water so it depends but i always shower so cant really save the water it just gose down the hole very very quickly lol. ;0
yeah. last year for my school's chorus competition trip to myrtle beach me and my friend went to the beach before the award ceremony and decided we needed to shower so we werent all sandy. we saved time by hopping in the shower with our bathing suits on and i had usher in my head but i turned it into ';i wanna make love in this tub.'; then i realized she had her pump on (she's diabetic.) she screamed SH!T and jumped outta the shower. it was funny.
No, but we did to save time. My husband and I had a newborn baby and a small water heater. It wasn't fun like you would expect, it was all business ... but we did both get clean in the time it usually took one of us.

In order to evaporate (change from a state of liquid to gas), energy (heat) is needed. Energy (heat) used for evaporation is STOLEN from your body. Hi all i am re-doing my bathroom i only have a large shower at the minute i am putting a bath in and have ordered taps they are standard mixer taps (with the shower attachment on) but the shower attachment is very small so brought a mixer shower as well i would keep the shower attachment to wash my baby's hair and stuff in the bath and have the main shower head for me!! is it OK to do this? i have a combi boiler.Can i have a mixer shower with bath taps?

Technically showers are cleaner. When you bath you wash off all the dirt and germs but then you sit in it. If you feel cleaner inside when you bathe (I'm assuming you mean private regions) then you can 1. wash better in the shower or 2. shower to wash off all the yucky stuff then take a nice soak and wash off. Generally, there is a lot of variance to the cost of remodeling. I did my own recently, and was able to make a 8X10 bathroom for $900, but that was going middle of the line and doing it all myself. Look at around $350 for framing any 8X10 wall (Material and labor), another $150 per wall for drywall, $3-500 for an installed shower stall, if it is just standard, nothing fancy, $2-300 for a vanity installed, then add in flooring and lighting to get a ballpark. Also, in most states, a shower stall and sink is considered a full bath.What is a reasonable contractor's fee for installing a standard half-bath with a shower stall ?

Oh and I think that when you put a shower stall in a bath it becomes a 3/4 bath I am not in real estate though so don't take my word for that though. Good luck If you were my neighbor I am so board right now I would help you just to get out of my own house. Like for nothing. Have fun.

I'm looking for a product that can withstand years of water, comes in large panels or sheets, is relatively thin (1/2 in. or so) and is aesthetically pleasing. Cost is a factor, but I'd rather pay a little more than mess with hours and hours of time and tiles. What products are available to line bath/shower enclosures other than tile, fiberglass, or granite. ?

You might also look at what I call ';fake rock'; replicas -- they're basically thin concrete products that go up like tile ... except that you don't have to be careful with joints, and they usually cover a lot more area quicker. I used them to cover a giant plywood box, which now looks like a 16' rock wall at the end of my driveway, 7 feet tall. Looks incredible, takes no maintenance.
I've seen them used to line showers, and some of the thicker ones even make it look like a rock grotto, and with a bit of plumbing you can have the showerhead pouring over a rock at you, like a waterfall. The soap shelf, etc., can be worked in with different shape rocks, etc. One of my local dealers has several examples in his showroom.
It's easy %26amp; fun to work with, and hard to make a mistake. It is pretty cheap, too. About six bucks a sq foot, five yrs ago, plus the cost of mortar and sealer.
I think there are a number of larger companies that now have websites on this stuff, so it's worth a look if your local phone book doesn't list anything under stone, stonemason, etc., but most of your local builders will know who to go to. This stuff is almost universally used in place of real rocks now, though most people don't realize it.

lol i had to go to this camp with my p.e teacher , it was weird because no one attended the camp and it was in the middle of a rain forest but my teacher said everyone was sick and the games we played were more fun without the other children. so long story short he said i smelt better with b.o but it was an enjoyable camp ;)
It was 5 days while on safari in Africa we where camping out in the surengeti for 5 days and there where no showers in any of the places I was quite rough looking and glad to finally have one even if it was just a cold shower.
I was unable to shower for 5 days when I was hospitalized for EBV %26amp; some other major infections my neutropenia had caused. I was sick as hell.

Clean bath/shower towels every day?
Dou you and you family use a clean bath/shower towel everyday?
Or do you stretch it out to a few days so as to reduce the usage of the washing machine and detergents (and possibly the tumble dryer)?
My neighbours (household of 5 people) do 3 - 4 loads of washing/drying each and every day....Clean bath/shower towels every day?

It is nice to have clean towels every day but not necessary for hygiene. If every family member uses their own towel and changes it when it is dirty or smells (otherwise once a week) and it gets washed in hot water that is OK. You should not make yourself a slave to this type of thing. Even in hotels now they have a sign in the bathroom about saving the planet etc. and reusing your towels. I would rather have a clean towel once a week which has been laundered on 60 deg C than a clean one every day that has only been washed in warm water.

If you are healthy, use the same towl fora few days.
If you have health issues and are worried about germs, mold, etc, wash towls with bleach after every use.
I am also worried about my dad or my sister's cat doing something gross on it if I leave it hanging where they can get to it. (I used to reuse towls, then I realized what was happening when I was out of the room)
Perhaps your neighbor just loves to do laundry??? We have 6 living in our home and there is no way I'd be doing that much laundry; Most of the time I only do laundry once a week and have maybe 10 loads.
As far as reusing towels, even Martha Stewart says a bath towel can be used for a week prior to washing. Hand towels and wash cloths are a different story - I give those 2-3 days.
when my kids were young, we did the same amount of laundry.. and used towels only once because of their learning to clean themselves and not doing a bang-up job all the time..
now that they are older, and able to clean themselves properly.. once a week we change out the bath towels.. every shower a new washcloth.. and about twice a week on the hand towels..
the kitchen towels are a two to three day use, if they don't hit the floor...
when i'm alone in my place, i end up wth about 7 loads of clothing a month.. maybe 9. that is if i'm sick, it's summer and hot.. and i have to change them out more often.

Friend of mine traveled to albania last year and he was there for almost a month,He said there was no problems with the water or food.I would definitely drink bottled water if going there for a while till your body has time to acclimate. If you have any doubts about bath water just heat or add a small amount of bleach to bath water, one thing He was happy about were things were cheaper than in the U.S He had a great time and did a lot of traveling there.

The worst shower I took was 20yrs ago on the island of Kalymnos - I looked up opened my mouth - was a shock for my mouth to fill with salt water!!!! I believe they now have normal tap water!!

I disagree that it doesn't matter whether you go from a tub to a shower. A bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower is considered a 3/4 bath. A bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub is considered a full bath. If a potential buyer likes having a tub then they might rule out your house if your switch to a shower. If you leave the tub however, you don't alienate the person who likes to shower but really doesn't care about a tub. Most master suite baths have both a shower and garden tub and people expect that so you should have both there. Other than the master, baths have to be useful for people with families. The only bath we had a shower only was in a finished basement as we felt a tub was unnecessary for that more limited use bathroom.
When my house was appraised, my one bathroom with large shower but no tub was considered a full bath...when I questioned this, I was told that now this was accepted as a full bath and it makes no difference whether there is a tub or shower. What adds value I was told was a separate bath and shower. I guess times are changing.
The way I look at it, if you have to live there, then put in what you want to live with and do not worry about it unless you are planning to sell when your reno is completed. I custom built my home for me and my family now, not for anyone I plan on selling to later on.
As one poster said, a shower, sink and toilet is a 3/4 bath. I bought my house with three 3/4, bathrooms - not a tub anywhere. I had a little one at the time. Missed the tub-then! I ended up just using a big wash tub inside of one of the really wide shower stalls. I didn't have to use it for long.
I want want of those real wide deep tubs. Because the little normal size tubs aren't really good for anything but bathing children, I don't miss those. If you have the option of putting in a deep wide tub and a shower head then I would do that. Double bonus that way. Otherwise, go for an updated shower stall.

The only bath we had a shower only was in a finished basement as we felt a tub was unnecessary for that more limited use bathroom.
When my house was appraised, my one bathroom with large shower but no tub was considered a full bath...when I questioned this, I was told that now this was accepted as a full bath and it makes no difference whether there is a tub or shower. What adds value I was told was a separate bath and shower. I guess times are changing.
The way I look at it, if you have to live there, then put in what you want to live with and do not worry about it unless you are planning to sell when your reno is completed. I custom built my home for me and my family now, not for anyone I plan on selling to later on.
As one poster said, a shower, sink and toilet is a 3/4 bath. I bought my house with three 3/4, bathrooms - not a tub anywhere. I had a little one at the time. Missed the tub-then! I ended up just using a big wash tub inside of one of the really wide shower stalls. I didn't have to use it for long.
I want want of those real wide deep tubs. Because the little normal size tubs aren't really good for anything but bathing children, I don't miss those. If you have the option of putting in a deep wide tub and a shower head then I would do that. Double bonus that way. Otherwise, go for an updated shower stall.
your house value would remain the same, as you would still have a full bath. A full bath is a shower or a tub, along with the toilet and sink. A half bath is a toilet and sink only. Obviously a full bath has more value then a half bath.
If it's the only full bathroom in the house keep the tub. If it's the master bath then go for a shower.

If that is the only bath in your home, I wouldnt get rid of it. A prospective buyer would prob. want at least 1 full bath!

There are many strains of bacteria that are resistant to heat and even some types of medicines or chemicals. will you get sick? not necessarily. the skin is a good defense against foreign pathogens. If your washing dirt and grease off then a bath is fine. but your skin has your own norma-flora (bacteria) that you will never get rid of. Just like how women have their own ';yeast'; in their vagina's ;)

Problem with my shower and bath faucets?
Water comes out of the bath faucet but not the shower. When I turn the faucet so water will come out of the shower...just a trickle. And I know my shower head is not clogged. Any ideas?Problem with my shower and bath faucets?

It was not easy as most half baths are not large enough to do this without moving stuff around and thus it has to be on the 1st floor with a basement below that allows you to get at the plumbing. Online, you can find prefab shower stalls (also at big box building stores) but not for under about a thousand plus the plumbing. You could build your own shower stall and just buy the floor tray (at most building big box stores). In order to do this you need to be able to do basic carpentry and basic plumbing. It is not hard but you need to get to the library and read up before you try it and then plan everything out in great detail before you pick up a hammer. The job I did cost about 1700 with me doing all of the labor but it works. If you know anyone who is handy with carpentry or plumbing get them to help.

depend if you have soft or hard water. If you have hard water no it caqn be used to water your roses. I f you have soft water I would not use it because it has salt added to it and we kill the roses.Is watering roses with the water from the bath room shower likely to be bad for them?
No, you shouldn't have any problem, lots of people water plants of all types with';Gray Water'; a great way to get more mileage out of the water.

I did some searching and only found that victorian style's would work but that probably set you back a few bucks considering it's antiquity. I would just get a standard tap or common replacement and add a shower attachment.

In the National Guard, at a annual training, the shower point broke down on the second day. We went a week and half with using wet wipes to clean our funky selves. We all were so tired and beat down by the time command got authorization to take us down the hill to a gym for a shower. BLEEPING red tape!!! God forbid the army just look at a soldier and say yes, instead of having fourteen levels of morons to approve a shower.

Yeah it can, one of my friends went too orange before her formal and got in the shower and scrubbed herself and got some of it off. It didnt all come off but it looked much better than it did before. So yes it can, but it doesnt like wash straight off, you really have to try to get it off.

But I'm the type of girl who spends most of her free time trying to look great for her man. BUT whatever you do, make sure you wash your hair first.

Wash myself everyday, wash my face everyday, brush my teeth 2 to 3x a day. Bit of a clean freak actually.
Neat and clean are some of the qualities which are important to me.

How do you have a bath or a shower with a cast on your arm or leg?

It's really awkward, and unfortunately a bath is normally the only way to go. What I did was take a big trash bag (depending on how large the cast is and how much of the limb it covers), saran wrap the open end, just in case, and duct tape it. When taking the bath, prop it up on the edge of the tub and don't wash anywhere near the skin where the cast is, you can get that with a cleansing pad later. What's really awkward is if you have long hair and a cast arm; it's hard shampooing one-handed.
From personal experience, it IS very, very awkward. For someone who's younger, it's easy to get someone to help, but otherwise it's just...weird. You almost stop looking forward to bathing... :(How do you have a bath or a shower with a cast on your arm or leg?
ok first what ever you have a cast on youll need to cover it with some type of bag usually then youll tape it shut so no water comes in..if its your arm its easier because you can take a bath and leave it out of the water but still have it wrapped up and def dont want to take a bth if you have a leg cast unless you can somehoe hang it ove the side of the tube..the key is to never submerse the cast in water...regardless if you have it wrapped up or not..good luck with it though its not fun either way
But a small chair with a backrest if you don't feel like standing in the bathtub and shower with your cast out of the it. Its more comfortable and it feels nice when you shower and sitting down. Just kinda cover your cast with plastic, a towel and or with shower curtain. Other than that, get a bag and cover it... with a ruberband or tape.
You bath with your leg hanging over the edge. To shower, you put a garbage bag UP the leg and then tape it shut to prevent water from entering at the top. OR you just take a sponge bath until you figure a better way. Been there, done both. You just shower/bath slower than usual and it works ok
There are things you can buy to put over the cast so it won't get wet. My parents when I broke my arm put a bread bag over my arm with a rubber band. It is a bit weird feeling the rest of you clean but knowing that under that cast it is probably gross.
