Which is more sanitary a bath or a shower?

I am looking for an actual educated response. I heard Tom from The Bob %26amp; Tom Show (a national morning radio program) fixating on this. He thinks a bath is unsanitary. Just wondering about what other people might think.Which is more sanitary a bath or a shower?
A shower is definitely more sanitary. Think about it! You are sitting in your own dirt, oil, and dead skin that sluffs off in a bathtub! YUCK!Which is more sanitary a bath or a shower?
When I take a bath, it's just to enjoy soaking in, it's not for actual cleaning purposes. When I need to get clean, that's what the shower is for. In a bath, any dirt you wash off would just get redeposited from the bath water back onto your skin.
A shower!! Some people take baths to get clean...but, how can you get clean when you're sitting in dirty water? Plus, when you're sitting (or laying) in the tub--you never know what you're sitting ON. I mean, people do nasty things in their bathtubs and unless you clean it everyday, you just never know!

So, I'd have to say shower! At least your feet are the only things touching the bottom and you know you're not sitting in the filthy water!!
after a bath you can shower off a bath is to relax in
A shower IS more sanitary, but not near as relaxing. I take a shower most of the time but I MUST take a bath for my sanity at least once a week....I also make sure I have lots of bubbles, candles and a great big, wonderful book to read!!!
makes sense ... a bath you'd sit in dirty water.
showers. bathes are what the Romans did.
