Has anyone got an ideal standard space shower bath 150cm in length, do they work well for their size?

I have the 170, so 20cm bigger than yours, but the comments I have to make about them won't change with the 20 cm difference...

They are great, you can stand easily in there and wash your hair without knocking your elbows everywhere, and having the curved screen removes the need for unpleasant bum hugging wet curtains.

They look great and do save a lot of space (go for very large tiles on the wall to make the room feel bigger -email me if you want a photo!)

If you have a kid, you can stick them at the straight end and still be comfy at your end. It was great when my daughter was a baby and was in a bath support.

The three things I would specify about this bath are the following:

The tap is meant to be located in the middle, but if you have a small bathroom, there's a chance you'll use the space on the ';flat'; side to stick your basin, leaving you very little space to actually lift yourself up and get in the actual bath. You would need to climb over the bath+ the height of the tap.

I was 6mths pregnant when we had it fitted, the prospect of having to hoist myself in a bath was already daunting, let alone have to climb over a tap on top... We decided not to attach the tap to the bath, but to the wall, at the round end, therefore at the shower end. It also means that when you're having your bath you don't have the water dripping on your side and you can run the bath while you're in it without burning or freezing your (_!_) if you don't have a thermostat. You can also have the satisfaction of turning the taps off with your toes, should you so wish ;D

Secondly, the ends are straight down: you don't get the gentle slope behind your back to recline in your bath. You need a nice big fat cushion, that shouldn't be too hard to find. Actually, I have to thank you very much for asking this question and making me think about this because I've been wondering why the Hell I had a bruise at the back of my head today and that was starting to bother me big time! I just realised that I had a long bath and didn't use the cushion this morning, that's where I got the bruising from!!! How weird is this?!

Anyway, third thing I would say is that the ';joint'; at the bottom of the curved shower screen is a pain in le neck to clean. I was thinking of getting a spare . It needs to be taken off altogether and scrubbed regularly, but I guess you get that in most screens. It's just the first I had, so I didn't know that could be a symptom.

If your bathroom is small, then I say definitely go for it. Just think about the position of your tap, maybe get a spare thingy and get a cushion.

My head hurts, shall go and rest it on my pillow now.

Hi!

I'll email you a pic as soon as I can do one in daylight as it would be rubbish with the flash and ceiling lamps.
