How best to deal with blocked toilet, bathroom sink, shower and bath problem?

I rang the body corporate and left a message. I am the owner but it's possible the blockage could be caused by next door's trees or something. The problem is if I ring for a plumber myself I will have to pay the plumber but if it's caused by next door neighbour it may be hard to get them to pay. But I'm not sure if I should bother waiting for body corporate to get back to me. And it's difficult because I'm not allowed to make phone calls at work. How best to deal with blocked toilet, bathroom sink, shower and bath problem?
I'm not a plumber, but have been a homeowner for quite awhile. Not knowing anything about your system would make this question very hard to answer. If you think tree roots are the problem, look for a product called ';Root Kill';. Read the packaging and see if it applies to your situation. You can also buy a ';snake';, but I'm guessing a residential snake won't be long enough to make it to the blockage. While you're at the store looking at Root Kill, ask a sales associate about a snake and how they work. How best to deal with blocked toilet, bathroom sink, shower and bath problem?
Odds on your neighbour won't have to pay for an Act of God. If you suspect you have PVC drains, probably not tree roots (they usually go for leaky drains like clay pipe). More the question of whether the insurance will cover it. General rule here is if it is not yours, don't try to repair without authorization.
sounds like your main line is clogged. you will need to clear the drain using a pro or if you can handle this here is the machine that will be able to handle the situation.

and, the roots are yours, even if they reach over on your property. it is not for your nice neighbor to handle, it's for you to handle.

sorry but best of luck.
Hmm..this could be a tough call. 1st of all, you need the leak fixed. Contact your insurance broker and ask what they think. They will have a better chance of getting money out of your neighbour, if it is their tree roots.

Have you tried unscrewing the cleanouts in the basement? Could be something as easy as that.
It depends on what your appliances are being blocked with, but Tortilla chips usually do the trick.

Step 1. Scoop up gunk with Tortilla chips.

Step 2. Eat

Step 3. Add Metamucil
Regular pump, it's about 4$ at any store
