What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath

Can anybody tell me what the shower heads are called that hook right onto your bath faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath. It is a regular shower head but with a hose that you attach to the faucet and can take it off and on so you can use the bath and shower? What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath
A hand held wand. They come it two basic types. The first you slip over faucet spout and it stays in place by preasure. These work so so, depending on how well they will seal.

The other type takes a little work but is usually well worth the effort. You can replace the faucet spout (this is not always an option). They make a bathroom tub spout that has a spot for a hand held sprayer to screw onto the top of the spout. The faucet spout screws on and off. Becareful not to scratch the new spout or the old one when removing and installing. You can put a rag on the spout to protect it and turn it whith a paie of channel locks. What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath
Hand held wand....But it may not be as easy as you think.

Often the tub spout is not made in a shape that would allow for something flexible to fit over it and get a good seal.

Take a look at buying a new tub spout that has a hand held shower wand as part of the original design.
