How to do a science project- Which uses more water, a shower or a bath. Getting started?

My daughter science project need help getting started. Steps i need to take.If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated. How to do a science project- Which uses more water, a shower or a bath. Getting started?
The measurement needs to be of the time it takes to have a shower, versus how long does it take to fill the tub.

The assumption is that the rate of water coming out of the faucet is the same. However, you might do a measurement of each. How long does it take to fill a bucket from a shower and from the tub spigotsHow to do a science project- Which uses more water, a shower or a bath. Getting started?
First you have to come up with a hypothesis- which does she think will use less water?

For actually calculating which takes less water, I would:

1- BATH- run a bath to her liking, how she likes her bath. And then measure how much water was in the bath rub. I would suggest using a gallon jug to dip out the water and maybe pour it down the sink.

2. SHOWER- stop up the tub while taking a shower, allowing the tub to fill up. after shower measure the water the same way as above.

Here is a website about the scientific method. She will have to outline her project using this method.
