How much bath/shower stuff do u own?

14 counting the shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

11 without....just body gels and stuff.How much bath/shower stuff do u own?
Not too much, now that I know what works. I'm assuming you're talking about cleaning supplies. Use ';The Works'; and it's all you'll ever need! They make shower and tub spray, and toilet cleaner and the stuff is amazing!

If you're talking about soaps and shampoos, I have considerably more. I like to change up my shampoos and conditioners because I think it's better for hair. I change up soaps for different scents. I have different razors for different parts of the body. So, yeah.... you'll see more sitting out in my bathtub, but not too many cleaning supplies under the sink! How much bath/shower stuff do u own?
60ish - I've colected them over 5 yrs XD
All that is in my bathroom.

Problem with shower/bath. Need quick fix!?

I think I broke the shower... The little thing that you pull up so that water comes out the showerhead broke and it won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I have to call someone?Problem with shower/bath. Need quick fix!?
Did you break the lever off or did it feel like it may have come loose? if it feels loose take the screws out of the cover plate and take a look, you may be able to reconnect it,if it was broke off you may be able to replace it yourself.if it was my tub i would take a look at the very least to try and fix it myself, you can find a plumbing supply co in the phone book call and ask for a little help,i would do this before calling a plumber, what can it hurt?Problem with shower/bath. Need quick fix!?

read about half way down........

no quick fix
you have to get a new diverter spout,
Yea your going to need to call a plumber and have them replace that whole piece.
Unscrew it counterclockwise and take the whole fawcet off. go to hardware or home store and ask the old guy to fix it if not ask for a replacement, you have to put pipe putty on the threads before you screw it back on, if you need to use a pipewrench put a heavy rag on it first not to scratch it.

Better yet call local vo tech and ask plumbing instructor to have students help you, give them a couple dollars each, if you make it worse a plumber will love you

Best bet is ask a plumber or 2 for a written estimate and make sure an estimate is free
You need to tear up the walls and remodel the whole bathroom
I own a small business doing bathroom renovations. It sounds like all you need is a new spout. The old one will come off in one of two ways: 1) it simply twists off, or; 2) there will be an Allen key set screw underneath -- just loosen the set screw, and slip the spout off. Once you have it off, take it to Home Depot, or wherever, and you can buy a new one,no problem. Should cost under $20 for a typical diverter spout. Best of luck.

How many days/weeks have you gone without a bath or shower?

long time. my record is probably about a monthHow many days/weeks have you gone without a bath or shower?
I shower every morning, but I have pale skin and dark hair. If you have blonde hair you can probably get away with every other day. Other then that every day with dandruff shampoo in the winter. How many days/weeks have you gone without a bath or shower?
Went 2 weeks once.

Was deeep in the boonies with the Army.

Best I could manage was a crotch bath with icy water every couple of days.

Man, that sucked! I've never been that filthy or smelly before or since!

Have you ever shared a bath or shower to save water?

Only thinking about the environment, you know carbon footprint and all that :DHave you ever shared a bath or shower to save water?
Does going to the swimming count as sharing showersHave you ever shared a bath or shower to save water?
em when i was like little i used to bath with my brother and sister but im talking like when i was 5 or some thing but em some times if im running a bath and my mum wants one too she would say save the water so it depends but i always shower so cant really save the water it just gose down the hole very very quickly lol. ;0
yeah. last year for my school's chorus competition trip to myrtle beach me and my friend went to the beach before the award ceremony and decided we needed to shower so we werent all sandy. we saved time by hopping in the shower with our bathing suits on and i had usher in my head but i turned it into ';i wanna make love in this tub.'; then i realized she had her pump on (she's diabetic.) she screamed SH!T and jumped outta the shower. it was funny.
No, but we did to save time. My husband and I had a newborn baby and a small water heater. It wasn't fun like you would expect, it was all business ... but we did both get clean in the time it usually took one of us.
Ofcoz you are ';just thinkin about the environment';...haha...no i havent done that to save water but i try other things like conserving energy.
I've shared both, but admittedly, water conservation was not at the top of the agenda.
Only when i was around 5 i used to bath with my sister but that wasnt to save water it was to save hassle and time
Nope. If I share the shower, I won't be able to sing. For a little time, I'm sorry, but the environment has to bear with me :)

  • Why is it when you step into a warm shower/bath...?

The rest of your body goes soooooo cold, and you get goosebumps?

Or when you step out, even if it isn't cold it feels so much colder than it is?Why is it when you step into a warm shower/bath...?
    it's weird...

and why do you want to stay in there for the rest of your life? Why is it when you step into a warm shower/bath...?
I know, I'm wondering the same thing, but I have no idea.
Because the arterial vessels in your feet absorb the heat from your shower/bath, and your venous vessels are ...god...my explanation would take way to long and I doubt you are smart enough to understand. Just know that you feel cold when you step out because heat is leaving your body.
    I dunno but it's true : )
Your body wants to balance temperature. When hot water hits your skin, the heat LEAVES your skin and heads to the core of your body. That's why you feel cold when you first step in. But then the hot water heats your skin up, and your body and skin are both hot and you feel good :)

When you step out of the shower, you still have water on your skin. To dry your skin off, the water needs to evaporate. In order to evaporate (change from a state of liquid to gas), energy (heat) is needed. Energy (heat) used for evaporation is STOLEN from your body. So that's why you feel cold when you step out %26lt;--- haha I think this one makes more sense :D
Its because Its through Cold Air that's why
I have no clue but that is a good question...
Your body's current temperature reacts to the hot/warm water like a ';shock'; because your body isn't used to it at that moment.

    I think...personal inference
I know, its soo weird, i wanna stay in the shower FOREVER!!!~

I am going to try to darken my hair with green tea, and i was wondering if when the tea runs down if it will stain my shower floor, even if its there just for a second before it runs down the drain? Will black tea stain a shower/bath floor?
Yes it will stain the shower floor. Try to use a sink that you can bleach to remove the stain.

Perhaps your physician is the one to ask.
Same with me, I think it's just the blood going down to your feet because of the warm water or something like that.

  • Yes i need help every time i bath of shower i get real hot then start to sweat in my body smells?

like i can smell food smell comein out of my pores what to doYes i need help every time i bath of shower i get real hot then start to sweat in my body smells?
Well, if you smell food- it is common for certain foods in a person's diet to be exuded from their pores. To a certain extent no matter what you eat will have this effect- the difference tends to be more noticeable depending on how often you shower or bathe.

A good suggestion would be sit down on a chair or what have you, on top of your towel, in the nude, following your shower and ';air dry'; your body. That's right, all the nooks and crevices should be exposed to the air to get a good dry- I find this works very well, because when you first get out of the shower your body is still sweating a lot from how hot the shower was.

Another suggestion would be, the last 30 seconds of your shower, switch the water to the cold setting. If you can tolerate the cold, it would also be a good time to rinse conditioner form your hair in the cold water, as your hair will be softer when rinsed with cold water.Yes i need help every time i bath of shower i get real hot then start to sweat in my body smells?
You need to cleanse your body from the inside out, so drink lots of water and eat healthy and that should help work the smell out of your body through your pores.
    take a cooler shower.

Can you bath/ shower during a lightening storm?

I always heard not to.Can you bath/ shower during a lightening storm?
case 1: the walls are made of conducting material

In this case you can safely bath, because the silica in the concrete is a better conductor of electricity than water and will conduct the electricity to the earth. How ever highly ionised water might still conduct a fraction of the electricity.

Case 2: the walls are made of insulating material and the water storage is exposed to lightning:

This might be really dangerous as the lightning can be discharged only through the water and will toast you.

Case 3: The walls are made of insulating material and the water storage is properly insulated from lightning attacks:

DON WORRY.Can you bath/ shower during a lightening storm?
Views of Arun K,are simply beautiful over the range of the answer and the simplicity of the presentation.HATS OFF FOR THE ANSWER.

In Vietnam we often showered during torrential rain. There was somewhat less lightning for whatever reason. Better than being dirty.

Many people visiting Colorado mountains make the mistake of taking shelter under trees during rain and lightning. Virtually every year one reads in the newspaper or hears on the raiio about one or two of these people being struck and killed.

A body of water is a very dangeous place. If you are there during a lightning storm you are probably one of the tallest objects. Also, there are high currents (the killers) in the water located at the immediate area of the strike.

The more metal objects in your clothing, the worse it will be for you.
Sure, unless you plan on doing it out on the open :)
No! No, no, no, no, no! It is a very, very bad idea. You are very likely to get struck by lightning that way. The electricity can carry through the piping and the water.

And even if you haven't been struck before while bathing in a storm, there is no need to take the risk.

If you don't believe me, the TV show, Mythbusters, actually tested this out. Their results were the same. (They also tested out the phone thing as well. That's bad too.)
The Mythbusters did an episode on that and I believe that they proved that it wouldn't be a good idea. Granted, there are many variants to consider, such as the type of house you're in, where the bathroom is compared to the strike zone and so forth. I'm not sure exactly which episode it was, but if you don't mind spending a little time searching, you can probably find reference to it in the link below.
I would... as a matter of fact i did last night and I'm okay. There are some pretty strong storms here in Dallas and i never heard that. Now whats not safe is making a phone call on a land line during a storm... so i hear... but i have done that as well and I'm still alive.
It is alright actually. Most buildings will have lightning conductor installed to conduct away the electricity in event of lightning strike, so the occupants will be safe. As long as you are in the building, there is no fear.

You will fear if you are showering in the open and you are about the tallest object around in a lightning storm.
its ok i've never been struck by lightening,
Of course you can... The only thing that prevents people from showering during a lightning storm is possibilities of power outages which would leave you showering in the dark.or in some cases get freaked out when there is a power failure
Of course, and statistically I do not believe that too many people get fried in their bath, but it does tie you in closely to a solid ground plane and being wet lowers your own skin's resistance, both not so smart things to do around electricity.
Yes, but be sure not to bathe indoors. Bathing outdoors is much safer during a lightning storm. To be extra cautious, place a long metal rod close to the tub where you are bathing. This will repel any of the electricity that might find its way to your home from a far away lightning strike. The only thing to worry about when bathing outdoors is nosey neigbours and maybe a few bugs.
