Is there a gadget which could be fixed between the hose and the tap which helps to prevent twisting, eg like one available to a telephone.How do I prevent the hose shower pipe in my bath getting twisted?

Buy a non metal hose, try your local bathroom showroom, look for hoses by Hansgrohe, any good quality hose should not twist,you get what you pay for!
If that's really problem, buy new hose :D more elastic... It's 5$ only
